Treatment of the Bird Flu with massive doses of ascorbate would be the same as any other flu except that the severity of the disease indicates that it may take unusually massive doses of ascorbic acid orally or even intravenous sodium ascorbate.  (Why the dose needed is somewhat proportional to the severity of the disease being treated is discussed in my paper published in 1981, Titrating to Bowel Tolerance, Anascorbemia, and Acute Induced Scurvy.)  I have not seen any flu yet that was not cured or markedly ameliorated by massive doses of vitamin C but it is possible that the bird flu may require even higher doses such as 150 to 300 grams a day.  Additionally, this flu could be primarily respiratory.  This means that hospitalization might be necessary.  If massive doses of ascorbate are not used, they may not be adequate.  Most hospitals will not allow adequate doses of ascorbate to be given.  (This is a legal problem because adequate doses of ascorbate are not practice of the community.)  Therefore, it may be up to the individual patient to have materials available for their own use.  These doses are easily tolerated by most but are much higher than doses thought high by 99.9% of the population.  Therefore, be very careful to read and understand this site.  If you want to use this ascorbate treatment in case you come down with this flu, please read all this now and be prepared.  I have seen runs on the market before with flues and you might not be able to buy ascorbic acid or have some physician give you sodium ascorbate intravenously when you need it.  Also, if you are not experienced with taking massive doses of ascorbic acid, practice before you have to.  Ascorbic acid is usually well tolerated by young people but it may be that if you have the slightest thing the matter with your stomach, esophagus or intestines, you better work with this before a crisis occurs and you have problems that you find too late.  Some people will have minimal gastritis that is no symptomatic and not even know it.  So practice and get help if you need it before a crisis.

The probable reason that birds carry this virus but it does not kill all of them is because birds make their own ascorbate.  It does kill some of the birds because this H5N1 strain is very toxic and exceeds the ability of the birds to make ascorbate in some cases.  Humans do not make ascorbate.  However, in our chemical plants we can make more ascorbate than a bird.  We just have to have the brains to know how to use it properly and adequately.  The so-called experts in this disease are either unbelievably stupid or have their heads up the rear of the drug industry when they do not use massive doses of ascorbate to treat these dying patients.  They will not even test the serum levels of ascorbate because when it is found to be zero only an imbecile would not know to use massive levels of ascorbate.  The drug industry would not like that so they will not test the blood levels of ascorbate.  Screw the patients. Viva la profits of the drug industry.

    • Isn't that too bad.  It does not worry me because I have not seen a flu yet that was resistant to massive doses of ascorbic acid.  This is because the ascorbate works by neutralizing free radicals.  Free radicals cause the symptoms of the flu.  Free radicals lack an electron.  When you flood the body with large amounts of extra electrons from the massive amounts of ascorbate, the electrons neutralize the free radicals.  This is the big secret that the drug industry does not want you to find out about because it cures or ameliorates so many diseases, it would be a financial disaster for the drug industry.  To hell with the patients; viva la profits of the drug industry.

    • They still will not test the blood levels of ascorbate in these ill patients because it would reveal the vitamin C secret and be a disaster for the profits of the drug industry.  From my experience with 30,000 patient being given massive doses of ascorbic acid orally, it would seem obvious that these doses prevent a large percentage of flues in the first place.  it would seem that if the H5N1 strain is transferred to humans only with difficulty, that if people took vitamin C, it would be even more difficult.  Therefore, if the mutation we all fear where the H5N1 virus becomes contagious from human to human is more probable with more bird to human cases then if vitamin C prevented half the cases, the probability of the mutation would be about half as likely.  But let us not think like that.  To hell with the patients!  Viva la profits of the drug industry!

    • So if Tamiflu doesn't work, why not try massive doses of sodium ascorbate intravenously.  Why not test the serum levels of vitamin C.  I'll tell you why not.  It would undoubtedly show zero vitamin C levels in the sick patients and then only a fool would not use intravenous sodium ascorbate.  But, no , let's throw millions of dollars at the drug industry.  We cannot allow the fact that massive doses of ascorbate ameliorate or cure infectious diseases.  This would be a financial disaster for the drug industry.  Viva la profits of the drug industry.  Let the patients die horrible deaths.  Their lives are not as important as the profits of the drug industry.

    • It is well known that many diseases are species specific or that they may pass to different species with varying severities.  However, an almost obvious factor is whether the species produces ascorbate.  Man, higher monkeys, Guinea pig, and the African fruit eating bat do not make ascorbate.  Other species make ascorbate in their liver or kidneys.  This makes them far more resistant to diseases than humans.  It should be obvious that some diseases usually fatal to humans might exist in birds without being fatal in many cases.  Apparently the water fowl have not figured out how to stop making ascorbate so they can die so as not be culled out by humans.  Humans, on the other hand, can make far more ascorbate in their chemical plants but are kept ignorant of how to use this ascorbate to save lives from these diseases  so as to profit the drug industry.

    • I want to make sure I have this straight.  We are supposed to be relieved that this disease that has killed 23 is not the disease that has now killed 8.  Actually, it makes little difference because both can be undoubtedly cured with massive doses of ascorbate.  From very superficial evidence however, it would appear the this encephalitis might be a 200 or more gram disease whereas the bird flu is probably a 100 to 200 gram disease.

    • Ho, Hum!  Another fear story about a disease that is easily cured or ameliorated with massive doses of ascorbate.  However, the real problem is that this is not allowed because it would cut down on the profits of the drug industry.  Lives mean nothing compared to the importance of the profits of the drug industry.  See the story about the now 44 year stonewalling of ascorbate.

    • Here we have another genocidal example of how massive doses of vitamin C will not be used against an acute viral disease.  By eliminating the free radicals generated by any acute viral disease in a timely fashion hardly anyone should die of these diseases.  Is it not interesting that with about half of Americans supplementing with vitamin C, that there is no listing of vitamin C in the annual indexes of major peer censored medical journals.  They will not even investigate massive doses of ascorbate.  If they do investigate ascorbate, they will use some puny dose such as four grams a day so that they can conclude it does little good.  The reason is that if the majority of physicians began to utilize massive doses of ascorbate (like 30 to 200 grams of ascorbic acid orally or 60 to 180 grams of sodium ascorbate intravenously), it would knock the hell out of all these acute viral diseases and be a financial disaster for the drug industry.  One cannot use massive doses of ascorbate on viral diseases without quickly coming to the conclusion of its beneficial effects on allergies, autoimmune diseases, bacterial infections, burns, injuries, etc.  All diseases that generate massive amounts of free radicals can be cured or markedly ameliorate by massive doses of ascorbate.  All this would be a financial disaster for the drug industry.  Never mind the hundred of millions of lives it would save and the trillions of dollars it would save over a period of time.

    • The doses of ascorbate that should be used against the bird flu is probably similar to what should be used on the current flu unnecessarily killing thousands of people.  Unnecessary because if these people were treated in a timely fashion with massive doses of ascorbate, they would not die.

    • The reason that these massive doses of ascorbate work against free radicals is by flooding the affected tissues with massive amounts of electrons (a reducing redox potential).  These electrons in adequate amounts will always neutralize the free radicals generated by the disease.  This fact is a matter of chemistry, not medicine.  We do not have to worry about which flu, which antibodies, which immunization, etc.  All these diseases make you sick by way of free radicals.  No free radicals and your immune system makes short work of the whatever acute viruses.  Chronic viral diseases are helped but are more complicated to treat and are not as easy cures.

    • With an acute viral disease, what is important to determine is what gram a disease it is.  For instance, a 100 gram cold is a cold that allows the patient to take 100 grams of ascorbic acid in many divided doses per 24 hours before diarrhea is produced.  What is happening here is that the free radicals generated by the disease processes are being neutralized by the electrons carried by the massive doses of ascorbate.  As the ascorbate destroys the free radicals, the free radicals destroy the ascorbate.  This is because ascorbate with all its electrons is very stable.  But when it loses its electrons and becomes dehydroascorbate, its half-life is just a few minutes unless the electrons are returned.  Therefore, other things being equal like the health of the bowel, the sicker a person is, the more free radicals, and the more ascorbate is destroyed.  Of the ascorbate, what does not reach the rectum does not cause diarrhea.  The diarrhea is not really a pathologic diarrhea but is caused by a hypertonic situation in the lumen of the rectum that attracts water into the rectum and causes the loose stools.  Intravenous sodium ascorbate does not cause diarrhea because the hypertonic situation, if there is one, is outside the rectum.

    • It turns out that the forcing of a reducing redox potential (eliminating all the oxidizing free radicals) into the tissues involved in the disease is a threshold phenomenon.  It is like arm wrestling where each pushes, pushes, pushes, and then one side or the other wins.  The mathematical formulas describing redox potential involve logarithms.   Logarithms go low, low, low and then rapidly go high. They are useful in mathematics mostly in the transition part where they begin to go up.  Anyway, the "ascorbate effect," that is where the ascorbate suddenly eliminates the free radicals only where a high enough concentration of ascorbate and its electrons force their way into the diseased tissues in a high enough concentration to suddenly neutralize the free radicals.  Lower doses of vitamin C may have a vitamin effect and eliminate some complications or slow down the spread of the disease throughout the body but this dramatic sudden "ascorbate effect" only happens at that high threshold dose. 

    • Often this threshold effect can be accomplished with oral ascorbic acid in a person with a normal GI tract but with patients with tricky bowels or with more serious diseases, like a 300 or more gram disease, intravenous sodium ascorbate has to be used.  Since ascorbate by vein is about 2 1/2 times more powerful than by mouth, very serious infections involving massive amounts of free radicals can be treated.   Ascorbate is extremely well tolerated by humans.  I have personally taken 180 grams of sodium ascorbate intravenously in 8 hours when well and still felt great.

    • I strongly suspect that hemorrhagic fevers such as Ebola, or Lass fever are examples of 300 to 500 gram diseases.  The acute induced systemic scurvy induced by these massive amounts of free radicals generated by these types of diseases could still be neutralized by more massive doses of ascorbate intravenously.  The implications of this is of obvious importance with bacteriologic warfare with diseases such as smallpox.

    • Opponents of massive doses of vitamin C will worry about stupid things like metabolic acidosis that never happen.  When someone says something bad about massive doses of vitamin C, ask them how many patients have they treated with massive doses of vitamin C.  Or if they are just mouthing the opinions of others, how many patients have those others treated with massive doses of vitamin C.  You will find that they have no experience.  All physicians who have experience with massive doses of ascorbate are advocates of massive doses of ascorbate.  The opponents are either just stupid or they are part of the genocidal plot to preserve the profits of the drug industry.  This is why you will not find any of this in the peer censored literature.

    • This is not to say that there are not some skills necessary to properly utilize massive doses of ascorbate but most of the questions can be answered by careful study of this site and I stand ready, as I am sure all the other physicians experienced in the use of massive doses of ascorbate, to help physicians who want to learn.  Unfortunately, the usual physician who calls finally at the urging of the family of the dying patient, has a patient in kidney failure, heart failure, strokes, multiple infections, and in the final hours of life.  Please do not let these infections get that far before asking for help.  I do have a number of physicians who have called in time about themselves or members of their family.

Bird flu outbreak started a year ago

  • Note that this and all flues involve free radicals and if you neutralize the free radicals with massive dose of ascorbate the disease will be ameliorated or cured.  We do not have to wait for a drug or immunization.  We have the treatment now but recognizing this cure would be a disaster to the drug industry.  Face facts, the ignoring of the power of massive doses of ascorbate is only to keep the profits of those wanting to keep people sick.

  • Well, how we are getting down to a serious subject, money.  Will it occur to some wealthy people who are loosing money over the fear of this bird flu that there would be no fear if everyone realized that it could probably be cured and certainly ameliorated with massive doses of ascorbate.  But then they will have to evaluate how much they gain from profits of the drug industry by keeping ascorbate secret.  Face it, lives do no matter.

March 14 - In Defense of Pat Robertson

CBN founder Pat Robertson has a proclivity to make statements before weighing their consequences. But is he always wrong? His most recent pronouncement is the radical Muslims are "satanic." He said, "These people (radical Muslims) are crazed fanatics and I want to say it now: I believe they are motivated by demonic power. The goal of Islam is world domination." He clarified that he was speaking about those Muslims who want to bomb and destroy innocent people. Keep it up, Pat! In an age of political correctness, when Washington calls Islam a "noble religion," when a Muslim is the keynote speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast, and when our pulpits are absolutely silent to many truths affecting the church and world, someone must speak the truth. Today's leaders are appeasing islam, not exposing it. And in this case, Robertson has a lot to lose including his life. He has virtually put himself in the category of Salman Rushdie and those Danish cartoonists now in hiding.

We are in a Rodney King world--can't we all just get along? No, in fact! We have had evil kingdom after evil kingdom rise up and exterminate whole populations, but none compare to the barbarism of radical Islam. Some national spokesmen must speak the truth. I pray Robertson will not back down.

Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, called Robertson's new comments, "grossly irresponsible." Robertson should be honored such a man has come against him as Lynn is an example of the blind leading the blind among today's world leadership when it comes to truth and political correctness.

Robertson acknowledged to World magazine that he is, in fact, being more careful and reviewing news stories before going on air. Frankly, I think this particular story needs little review: He has spoken the truth.

Where is the outrage from other Christian leaders as Islam marches across parts of the world killing innocent people, filming beheadings, and desiring the bring the world back to the 7th Century. Or killing many innocent Christians just because they are Christian? Men like Franklin Graham and Gary Bauer are brutally honest, but many more Christian leaders feel the issue is too political and don't enter this battleground. And make no mistake--it is a battleground. It's a church/Christian issue because so many victims of radical Islam are Christians.

Warmer Seas Creating Stronger Hurricanes, Study Confirms

A rise in the world's sea surface temperatures was the primary contributor to the formation of stronger hurricanes since 1970, a new study reports.

While the question of what role, if any, humans have had in all this is still a matter of intense debate, most scientists agree that stronger storms are likely to be the norm in future hurricane seasons.

The study is detailed in the March 17 issue of the journal Science.

An alarming trend

In the 1970s, the average number of intense Category 4 and 5 hurricanes occurring globally was about 10 per year. Since 1990, that number has nearly doubled, averaging about 18 a year.

Category 4 hurricanes have sustained winds from 131 to 155 mph. Category 5 systems, such as Hurricane Katrina at its peak, feature winds of 156 mph or more. Wilma last year set a record as the most intense hurricane on record with winds of 175 mph.

While some scientists believe this trend is just part of natural ocean and atmospheric cycles, others argue that rising sea surface temperatures as a side effect of global warming is the primary culprit.

According to this scenario, warming temperatures heat up the surface of the oceans, increasing evaporation and putting more water vapor into the atmosphere. This in turn provides added fuel for storms as they travel over open oceans.

Other factors less important

The researchers used statistical models and techniques from a field of mathematics called information theory to determine factors contributing to hurricane strength from 1970 to 2004 in six of the world's ocean basins, including the North Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans.

They looked at four factors that are known to affect hurricane intensity:

  • Humidity in the troposphere—the part of the atmosphere stretching from surface of the Earth to about 6 miles up
  • Wind shear that can throttle storm formation
  • Rising sea-surface temperatures
  • Large-scale air circulation patterns known as "zonal stretching deformations"

Of these factors, only rising sea surface temperatures was found to influence hurricane intensity in a statistically significant way over a long-term basis. The other factors affected hurricane activity on short time scales only.

"We found no long-term trend in things like wind shear," said study team member Judith Curry of the Georgia Institute of Technology. "There's a lot of year to year variability but there's no global trend. In any given year, it's different for each ocean."

An answer for the critics

The new study potentially addresses one major criticism leveled by scientists skeptical of any strong link between sea surface temperatures and hurricane strength, said Kerry Emanuel, a climatologist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who was not involved in the study.

Last year, Emanuel published a study correlating the documented increase in hurricane duration and intensity in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans since the 1970s to rises in sea surface temperatures over the same time period.

"We were criticized by the seasonal forecasters for not including the other environmental factors, like wind shear, in our analysis," Emanuel said in an email. "[We didn't do so] because on time scales longer than 2-3 years, these do not seem to matter very much. This paper more or less proves this point."

Kevin Trenberth, the head of climate analysis at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), believes the new study's main finding is accurate but thinks the effects of some of the environmental factors on hurricane intensity might have been underestimated.

"The reason is they're covering a period from 1970 to 2004. 1979 is the year when satellites were introduced into the [NCEP/NCAR] Reanalysis. The quality of the analysis prior to 1979 is simply nowhere near as good," said Trenberth, who also was not involved in the study.

The NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis is the database the researchers drew upon for information about the effects of troposphere humidity, wind shear and zonal stretching deformation on hurricane intensity; sea surface temperature data came from a different database.

Curry acknowledged that reanalysis data prior to 1979 is of slightly lower quality than more recent data but believes this doesn't substantially change the study's main finding. Trenberth agreed: "I suspect they may well have gotten the right answer anyway," he told LiveScience.

Natural cycles?

Some scientists have explained the rising strength of hurricanes as being part of natural weather cycles in the world's oceans.

In the North Atlantic, this cycle is called the Atlantic multi-decadal mode. Every 20 to 40 years, Atlantic Ocean and atmospheric conditions conspire to produce just the right conditions to cause increased storm and hurricane activity.

The Atlantic Ocean is currently going through an active period of hurricane activity that began in 1995 and which has continued to the present. The previous active cycle lasted from the late 1920's to 1970, and peaked around 1950.

These cycles definitely do influence hurricane intensity, but they can't be the whole story, Curry said.

While scientists expect stronger hurricanes based on natural cycles alone, the researchers suspect other contributing factors, since current hurricanes are even stronger than natural cycles predict.

"We're not even at the peak of current cycle, we're only halfway up and already we're seeing activity in the North Atlantic that's 50 percent worse than what we saw during the last peak in 1950," Curry said.

Some scientists still think it's too premature to make any definitive links between sea surface temperatures and hurricane intensity.

"We simply don't have enough data yet," said Thomas Huntington in of the U.S. Geological Survey. "Category 5 hurricanes don't come around very often, so you need the benefit of a much longer time series to look back and say 'Yup, there has been an increase.'"

Huntington is the author of a recent review of more than 100 peer-reviewed studies showing that although many aspects of the global water cycle—including precipitation, evaporation and sea surface temperatures—have increased or risen, the trend cannot be consistently correlated with increases in the frequency or intensity of storms or floods over the past century. Huntington's study was announced this week and is published in the current issue of the Journal of Hydrology.

Brace yourselves

Whatever the underlying cause, most scientists agree that people will need to brace themselves for stronger hurricanes and typhoons in the coming years and decades.

However, most regions around the world will not experience more storms. The only exception to this is the North Atlantic, where hurricanes have become both more numerous and longer-lasting in recent years, especially since 1995. The reasons for this regional disparity are still unclear.

The team's findings are controversial because they draw a connection between stronger hurricanes and rising sea surface temperatures—a phenomenon that has itself already been linked to human-induced global warming.

The study by Curry and her colleagues therefore raises the frightening possibility that humans have inadvertently boosted the destructive power of one of Nature's most devastating and feared storms.

"If humans are increasing sea surface temperatures and if you buy this link between increases rising sea surface temperatures and increases in hurricane intensity, that's the conclusion you come to," Curry said.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - California prison officials have begun using Global Positioning System anklets to track known gang members.

The gritty suburb of San Bernardino, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles, this week became the first California city to use the GPS satellite navigation system to track gang members when the devices were strapped onto three parolees, state Department of Corrections spokeswoman Jeanne Woodford said.

Six California counties began using GPS to monitor sex offenders in 2005 and some have already been arrested for violating parole after they were tracked to off-limits areas.

"GPS tracking is just another tool in the bag; we will still use ground personnel to track gang members," said Sarah Ludeman, another spokeswoman for the corrections department.

Under an arrangement between prison officials and San Bernardino, high-risk parolees known to belong to street gangs will be released from custody on the condition that they wear a GPS bracelet on their ankles at all times.

They appear as moving dots on a map and if they try to remove the anklet or enter unauthorized areas the device sends an alert to a base station monitored by law enforcement officials.

The University of California at Irvine will review the results of the pilot program for its effectiveness.

A bill that would give millions of illegal aliens in the United States the opportunity to earn citizenship is closer to becoming law today as members of the Senate Judiciary Committee signaled likely passage of a proposal by Sens. Edward Kenney, D-Mass., and John McCain, R-Ariz.

Though a committee vote will not be held until after a week-long congressional recess, likely March 27, committee members appeared ready to back the Kennedy-McCain bill.

"The votes are there," said Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.

Congress is working to pass a reform bill that includes enforcement, a policy on dealing with illegals already in the country and a guest-worker program pushed by President Bush.

Under the legislation, illegal aliens in the United States would obtain six-year nonimmigrant visas under which they could work in the country and travel outside the country. The aliens would have to pay a $1,000 fine and undergo background checks.

After six years, the aliens would be able to meet certain requirements and then apply for a green card, or permanent residency.

Besides voting on the bill after the recess, committee Chairman Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said the panel also would vote on a bill by Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., that would give illegal aliens up to five years to leave the U.S. After returning home, they could then apply to return, either as temporary workers or for permanent residency.

"Our intention is not to strand anyone outside the country," Kyl said, according to an AP report. But he asserted the McCain-Kennedy plan would give an illegal alien allowed to stay and work in the country a "huge advantage" over a person having to wait for years in his or her own country for a green card.

The McCain-Kennedy bill would start off with offering 400,000 of the new visas.

Two years ago, Bush proposed a guest-worker program that has been criticized by immigration-reform advocates as nothing more than an amnesty program for foreigners who entered the United States illegally.

Kennedy disputed the amnesty charge: "There is no moving to the front of the line, there is no free ticket. This is not amnesty."

Majority Leader Bill Frist has threatened to bring his own immigration bill to the floor of the Senate March 27 if the committee has not approved one.

Hundreds of poultry were found dead in a kibbutz in southern Israel raising fears of the first outbreak of deadly bird flu in the Jewish state.

"We have found hundreds of dead poultry and other sick birds on a kibbutz in the south of Israel, which makes us worried about the appearance of the bird flu virus," one agriculture ministry official told AFP.

"The initial tests indicated it was bird flu although these were not the final results and everything is still being tested in the laboratories", another official said.

Dozens of dead chickens were also found in communities close to the Ein Hashlosha kibbutz in the Negev desert east of the Gaza border, the website of the Haaretz daily reported.

Both the kibbutz and the adjacent communities were sealed off by the agricultural ministry, the website said.

Israel imposed a ban on all meat imports from the Gaza Strip on February 17 following the discovery of the deadly H5N1 strain of the bird flu virus in Egypt.

The outbreak of bird flu in Egypt on Israel's southern border saw flocks destroyed and transport restrictions imposed to stem the spread of a disease costing the industry around 1.7 million dollars a day.

HOMELESS FIX TAKES EVERYONE'S HELP

They're still here, Wichita - in our alleys, huddled in doorways, sleeping under bridges, trying to get by in all extremes of weather.

Still waiting for help.
A recent homelessness survey found more than 700 people living on the streets of Wichita - and it undoubtedly missed hundreds more.

The number stays depressingly constant, year after year. And so does the inaction by city and county leaders.

Wichita has only 345 beds in a scattered assortment of shelters to meet the need - and this "temporary" solution has been going on for 15 years.

Now, some religious leaders and care providers are fed up, and they're saying "enough."

In a tie-in with Lent and its call to sacrifice, many downtown churches will soon begin putting up purple tents and ribbons on their grounds, and asking other Wichitans to do the same.

The "Purple Tent Project" is a visible protest of this intolerable "out of sight, out of mind" status quo - and a call to action. They're asking: What sacrifice will this community make to care for these people in obvious need?

Homelessness is not inevitable, nor is it a "choice" for the vast majority of people on the street.

A majority of the chronic homeless - those who end up in emergency shelters year after year - suffer from treatable problems such as mental illness and drug addiction.

Most of them, say experts, could be taken off the streets if offered proper treatment and permanent housing with support services to keep them on track.

But at present, services are scattered throughout the community, making it difficult to get them the help they need.

Wichita still needs a one-stop, 24/7 shelter where homeless individuals and families can find food and shelter - no questions asked - as well as treatmen t, resources and a safe place to stay during the day.

The shelter is a "critical piece of the puzzle," the Rev. Doug Luginbill, pastor of Hope Mennonite Church, told The Eagle editorial board.

"The money is there," added the Rev. Sam Muyskens, head of Inter-Faith Ministries. "What's lacking is the political will."

Homelessness can be largely eliminated in this community - if Wichitans will answer the call of their hearts and demand a compassionate response from their leaders.

It will take a broad community response. "The only way to overcome homeless ness is if everyone is working together," Luginbill said.

If you were President George W. Bush with all available US troops tied down by the Iraqi resistance, and you were unable to control Iraq or political developments in the country, would you also start a war with Iran?

Yes, you would.

Bush’s determination to spread Middle East conflict by striking at Iran does not make sense.

First of all, Bush lacks the troops to do the job. If the US military cannot successfully occupy Iraq, there is no way that the US can occupy Iran, a country approximately three times the size in area and population.

Second, Iran can respond to a conventional air attack with missiles targeted on American ships and bases, and on oil facilities located throughout the Middle East.

Third, Iran has human assets, including the Shia majority population in Iraq, that it can activate to cause chaos throughout the Middle East.

Fourth, polls of US troops in Iraq indicate that a vast majority do not believe in their mission and wish to be withdrawn. Unlike the yellow ribbon folks at home, the troops are unlikely to be enthusiastic about being trapped in an Iranian quagmire in addition to the Iraqi quagmire.

Fifth, Bush’s polls are down to 34 percent, with a majority of Americans believing that Bush’s invasion of Iraq was a mistake.

If you were being whipped in one fight, would you start a second fight with a bigger and stronger person?

That’s what Bush is doing.

Opinion polls indicate that the Bush regime has succeeded in its plan to make Americans fear Iran as the greatest threat America faces.

The Bush regime has created a major dispute with Iran over that country’s nuclear energy program and then blocked every effort to bring the dispute to a peaceful end.

In order to gain a pretext for attacking Iran, the Bush regime is using bribery and coercion in its effort to have Iran referred to the UN Security Council for sanctions.

In recent statements President Bush and Pentagon chief Donald Rumsfeld blamed Iran for the Iraqi resistance, claiming that the roadside bombs used by the resistance are being supplied by Iran.

It is obvious that Bush intends to attack Iran and that he will use every means to bring war about.

Yet, Bush has no conventional means of waging war with Iran. His bloodthirsty neoconservatives have prepared plans for nuking Iran. However, an unprovoked nuclear attack on Iran would leave the US, already regarded as a pariah nation, totally isolated.

Readers, whose thinking runs ahead of that of most of us, tell me that another 9/11 event will prepare the ground for a nuclear attack on Iran. Some readers say that Bush, or Israel as in Israel’s highly provocative attack on the Jericho jail and kidnapping of prisoners with American complicity, will provoke a second attack on the US. Others say that Bush or the neoconservatives working with some "black opts" group will orchestrate the attack.

One of the more extraordinary suggestions is that a low yield, perhaps tactical, nuclear weapon will be exploded some distance out from a US port. Death and destruction will be minimized, but fear and hysteria will be maximized. Americans will be told that the ship bearing the weapon was discovered and intercepted just in time, thanks to Bush’s illegal spying program, and that Iran is to blame. A more powerful wave of fear and outrage will again bind the American people to Bush, and the US media will not report the rest of the world’s doubts of the explanation.

Reads like a Michael Crichton plot, doesn’t it?

Fantasy? Let’s hope so.

MySpace isn't cool, it isn't hip and it isn't trendy. It represents a cyber trojan horse and the media elite's last gasp effort to reclaim control of the Internet and sink it with a stranglehold of regulation, control and censorship.

Since Rupert Murdoch's $580 Million acquisition of MySpace in July 2005, it has come from total obscurity to now being the 8th most visited website in the world, receiving half as many page hits as Google, despite the fact that on first appearance it looks like a 5-year-old's picture scrap and scribble book.

MySpace is the new mobile phone. If you don't have a MySpace account then you belong to some kind of culturally shunned underclass.

What most of the trendy wendy's remain blissfully unaware of is the fact that MySpace is Rupert Murdoch's battle axe for shaping a future Internet environment whereby electronic dissent, whether it be against corporations or government, will not tolerated and freedom of e-speech will cease to exist.

MySpace has been caught shutting down blogs critical of itself and other Murdoch owned companies. They even had the audacity to censor links to completely different websites when clicking through for MySpace. When 600 MySpace users complained, MySpace deleted the blog forum that the complaints were posted on. Taking their inspiration from Communist China, MySpace regularly uses blanket censorship to block out words like 'God'.

Earlier this week Rupert Murdoch sounded the death knell for conventional forms of media in stating that the media elite were losing their monopoly to the rapid and free spread of new communication technologies. Murdoch stressed the need to regain control of these outlets in order to prevent the establishment media empire from crumbling.

MySpace is Rupert Murdoch's trojan horse for destroying free speech on the Internet. It is a foundational keystone of the first wave of the state's backlash to the damage that a free and open Internet has done to their organs of propaganda. By firstly making it cool, trendy and culturally elite for millions to flock to establishment controlled Internet backbones like MySpace, Murdoch is preparing the groundwork for the day when it will stop being voluntary and become mandatory to use government and corporate monopoly controlled Internet hubs.

The end game is a system similar to or worse than China, whereby no websites even mildly critical of the government will be authorized.

The Pentagon admitted that they would engage in psychological warfare and cyber attacks on 'enemy' Internet websites in an attempt to shut them down. The fact that the NSA surveillance program spied on 5,000 Americans tells us that the enemy is the alternative media and that it will be targeted for elimination. Google has been ordered to turn over information about its users by a judge to the US government.

The second wave of destroying freedom of speech online will simply attempt to price people out of using the conventional Internet and force people over to Internet 2, a state regulated hub where permission will need to be obtained directly from an FCC or government bureau to set up a website.

The original Internet will then be turned into a mass surveillance database and marketing tool. The Nation magazine reported, "Verizon, Comcast, Bell South and other communications giants are developing strategies that would track and store information on our every move in cyberspace in a vast data-collection and marketing system, the scope of which could rival the National Security Agency. According to white papers now being circulated in the cable, telephone and telecommunications industries, those with the deepest pockets--corporations, special-interest groups and major advertisers--would get preferred treatment. Content from these providers would have first priority on our computer and television screens, while information seen as undesirable, such as peer-to-peer communications, could be relegated to a slow lane or simply shut out."

The original Internet will deliberately be subject to crash upon crash until it becomes a useless carcass of overpriced trash and its reputation will be defiled by the TV and media barons cashing in on the perfectly streamlined Internet 2, the free for all network that just requires you to thumbscan in order to log on! Those with a security grading below yellow on their national ID card will unfortunately be refused access. Websites that carry hate speech (ones that talk about government corruption) will be censored for the betterment of society.

For the aspiring dictator, the Internet is a dangerous tool that has been seized by the enemy. We have come a long way since 1969, when the ARPANET was created solely for US government use. The Internet is freedom's best friend and the bane of control freaks. Its eradication is one of the short term goals of those that seek to centralize power and subjugate the world under a global surveillance panopticon prison.

Rupert Murdoch's MySpace and its ceaseless promotion by the establishment media as the best thing since sliced bread is part of this movement. In saying all this we do encourage everyone to set up a MySpace account, but only if you're going to use it to bash MySpace, Rupert Murdoch and copy and paste this article right at the top of the page! De Menezes murder cover-up continues

The Association of Chief Police Officers in Britain has concluded in its inquiry that the shoot to kill policy which was carried out in the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes is acceptable and should not be altered. Since de Menezes' behavior gave no sign whatsoever that he was a potential suicide bomber, this is a strong statement of intent.

Leaked photographic and police evidence of de Menezes' appearance and actions on the day of July 22 confirm that no police officer with an ounce of common sense would suspect de Menezes to be a suicide bomber.

This means that de Menezes was directly targeted, tracked and gunned down for another reason.

What that reason may be remains subject to speculation. His work as a freelance electrician could be connected to the original explanation that the bombs that ripped through three underground stations were the result of electrical surges. De Menezes could have been the '5th bomber' - set up by British intelligence as a patsy like the other four, but changed his mind and escaped when he realized what was unfolding. That knowledge would have been more than enough to mandate his assassination, as he could have blown the whistle on the entire inside job.

There can be little doubt that the evidence proving that the police knew de Menezes was no suicide bomber was deliberately leaked to send a very clear threat to the British people. The government can order targeted assassinations on the streets of Britain at any time. Stop asking questions, shut up and behave yourselves.

Leaked photos from the police investigation directly contradicted suspicious early eyewitness testimony, which was later connected to the police itself, saying that de Menezes was wearing a heavy jacket with wires trailing from it. De Menezes was wearing a light denim jacket and there were no wires to be seen.

Original reports that de Menezes was running through the station and had vaulted barriers were proven to be fraudulent by CCTV footage which showed de Menezes walking at a casual pace, picking up a free newspaper, and passing through the barriers normally.

This CCTV footage was originally said to be missing due to a fault according to the Metropolitan Police. After the London Underground went public to say that there was no fault and that the footage existed, the police had to change their story and admit that the footage did exist. This was a blatant attempt to hide the fact that de Menezes' behavior aroused no suspicion.

De Menezes was shot at least eight times, seven in the head. The police certainly wanted to make sure that he was dead.

Did they want to make sure he was dead because he was about to detonate a bomb? The officers who shot De Menezes KNEW he wasn't a threat at the time they accosted him.

A police source said: "There is no way those three guys would have been on the train carriage with him [de Menezes] if they believed he was carrying a bomb. Nothing he did gave the surveillance team the impression that he was carrying a device.''

Despite the fact that all the evidence points to a monumental cover-up, I have no doubt that the ongoing Independent Police Complaints Commission investigation of the shooting, just like Lord Stevens' phony Diana inquiry, will absolve the Metropolitan Police and Ian Blair of all blame and re-affirm its support of the shoot to kill policy.

Let's play devil's advocate and say that there was no cover-up, that the shooting was just a botched job as a result of incompetence. Then why has nobody been fired? Why is the Association of Chief Police Officers still backing the shoot to kill policy? They are making a statement.

We are the bosses, we are in control. We can carry out targeted assassinations on British soil and there's not a damn thing you can do about it apart from sit down and shut up. Otherwise you just might become the next target of her Majesty's secret death squad.

IDF St.-Sgt. Ido Shapira was killed this morning in heavy fighting between army forces & wanted terrorists in Jenin. Among the terrorists were those who masterminded the killing of 22 Jews.

The soldiers are engaged in pursuing and arresting leading terrorists in Jenin. Fifteen terrorists have been arrested since last night, including four who surrendered.

Shapira and his unit surrounded a house in which several wanted terrorists were hiding. The soldiers saw an Arab running out of the home, sparking a gunfire battle, in which Shapira was killed. The Arab was caught, and four other terrorists inside the house gave themselves up. A search of the home revealed three rifles, two guns, three grenades, and several magazines.

Among the terrorists netted in the operation were members of a cell that directed at least five suicide attacks over the past year, in which 22 Israelis were killed. Two attacks took place in Netanya, one in Hadera, and one at the Stage Club in Tel Aviv. A planned double attack was stopped at an IDF checkpoint, but Lt. Uri Binamo was killed when the terrorists blew themselves up there.

St.-Sgt. Shapira was killed in a battle similar to the one in which IDF paratrooper Sgt. Yonatan Evron, 20, from Rishon L'Tzion, fell on Nov. 2 of last year. Evron was killed while taking a wanted terrorist into custody in Mircha, in the Jenin district.

Earlier this morning, two Israelis were wounded by terrorist fire as they drove north of the Tapuach Junction between Shechem and Shilo. Two other passengers in the car were not physically hurt by the gunfire rained upon them by terrorists lying in wait along the road. Magen David Adom ambulances took the two victims to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah, where they are listed in light-to-moderate condition.

The attack occurred near the Jewish community of Yitzhar, from where the army withdrew its forces last month after youths of the town attacked a soldier. Yitzhar spokesman Yigal Amitai said, "This shooting attack, which took place in the same place where many similar attacks have taken place in recent weeks, is another proof of the impotence of the local army network and its focus on media instead of on security, and on the slandering of Jewish residents instead of on catching terrorists."

The Defense Ministry has announced that the curfew emplaced upon the Palestinian Authority-controlled areas for the Purim holiday will be extended at least until the beginning of next week. This, in light of threats by Palestinian terrorist organizations to avenge the capture of the murderers of Minister Rehavam Ze'evi in Jericho on Tuesday.

Israel Air Force helicopter gunships bombed four approach roads in northern Gaza over the night, in response to continued Kassam rocket attacks.

2.  Ashkelon Power Plant Employees Told Not to Gather in Groups

Concern over a possible Kassam rocket attack on the Rotenberg Power Station in southern Ashkelon has led to new guidelines at the plant: Not to walk in groups or to eat together in the dining rooms.

A Rotenberg spokesman has confirmed that the new guidelines have indeed been issued. The reason for the new policy is the management's fear that a Kassam rocket might hit the plant.

The station supplies a quarter of Israel's electricity. It is widely felt that a direct rocket hit on the plant, and especially one with casualties, would lead to public demands for a military entry and operation in Gaza.

Approximately three Kassams have hit the area in or very close to the Rotenberg plant in recent weeks. One building was damaged.

The Ministry of Education recently issued a directive forbidding school trips to the power station and other sensitive installations north of Gaza - for reasons of Kassam-related threats.

3.  Ze'evi Murderers Could be Tried Again

The murderers of a top IDF general - the late Cabinet Minister Ze'evi - may be tried again in an Israeli court. The issue will be raised in governmental judicial & security circles Thursday night.


The discussion will be held in the office of State Prosecutor Eran Shendar.

The terrorist cell was apprehended by an IDF unit on Tuesday, after they were held in a PA prison for the last nearly four years under British and American supervision. When the foreign guards announced their imminent departure, and in light of Hamas announcements that the prisoners would be freed, Israeli troops readied themselves to capture the terrorists. After a ten-hour siege of the prison, Israeli troops captured the murderers, and other prisoners, alive.

The terrorists in question are two PFLP heads, Ahmed Saadat and Ahed Ulama, as well as three men who took part in the actual murder. In addition, Fuad Shubaki, who was responsible for large-scale arms smuggling into PA-controlled areas, including the Karine-A weapons ship, was also held with this group and arrested this week by Israeli forces.

Tourism Minister Rehavam (Gandi) Ze'evi was murdered in a Jerusalem hotel in October 2001 by a cell of PFLP (Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine) terrorists. They later found refuge in the Mukata with Yasser Arafat, but when Israel threatened to capture them, the PA put the three actual murderers on trial. Within two days, in April 2002, they were sentenced to 18, 12 and 8 years in prison, respectively.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said at the time that Israel did not recognize the trial, insisting that the fugitives be turned over to Israel to stand trial. "Strange," Sharon said. "Why would they want them to stand trial twice? After all, we will try them in any event." Then-Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said the trial was a "great show," and Palmach Ze'evi, the son of the slain minister, said,
"The so-called trial being held in Arafat's headquarters is an embarrassment to Israel and her sovereignty... It is yet another proof of the foolishness and disgrace of the Oslo Accords. I am certain the Prime Minister will continue to demand that the PLO hand over the murderers to stand trial in Israel.”

MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) says there is no question that the murderers must be retried in Israel. "They were tried in the PA only for their insubordination to Arafat," Eldad told Arutz-7's Hebrew radio newsmagazine, "but not for the murder. Now they must be tried for murder."

Eldad says the murderers should have been treated with a stronger hand during the siege. "We should have said that the building would be blown up in an hour, and anyone who doesn't come out with his hands up in that time is forfeiting his life."

Middle East Studies expert Dr. David Bukai of Haifa University said, "The state of Israel should make it clear that whoever comes to kill its citizens will be killed, and therefore these people - no matter whether they killed a government minister or any other Israeli - should have been killed in battle... I'm against the death sentence in courts, because such a thing would never be accepted, but it should have been done on the battlefield; we have the technological know-how to pinpoint exactly what part of the room a target is standing."

4.  Herut-Marzel Cooperation Nixed, as NU-NRP MKs Tour Market

Reports of a possible deal between the two splinter right-wing parties have been denounced by the leader of one of them. National Union MKs toured the Jerusalem outdoor market.

Reports of pre-election cooperation between Herut and Hazit - both vying for right-wing camp votes - have been nixed by Hazit leader Baruch Marzel.

Herut is the list of candidates led by Michael Kleiner and Yehoshua Meiri, and Hazit is headed by Marzel and Yisrael Hanukoglu. Neither is expected to receive a sufficient amount of votes to enter the Knesset - though Kleiner has said that media predictions of this sort are "self-fulfilling prophecies."

Marzel and Meiri, long-time acquaintances, met on Purim at Meiri's yeshiva in Ramat Aviv, and discussed the possibility of joining forces in one constellation or another. The two lists cannot merge, as the final lists of Knesset candidates cannot be changed at this late date. However, one party can drop out of the race and throw its support for the other.

Meiri explained that it would make sense for Marzel's Hazit to drop out: "Our voters come from Kadima and the Likud, and they would never vote for Marzel under any circumstances. But Marzel has much influence with his supporters, and if he tells them to, most of them would vote for us."

Marzel, for his part, said today that no such possibility is in the offing: "We are running until the end, and we will not drop out," he told Arutz-7.

Kleiner and Marzel ran together on the Herut list in the last election, and received only just over 34,000 votes - some 10,000 short of the required minimum to enter the Knesset. Asked why they didn't run together this time, Marzel said it was because Kleiner had been considering running together with anti-Disengagement Likud MK Michael Ratzon, "with whom I have nothing in common."

Meanwhile, the Nation Union/NRP list picked up the endorsements of a large group of religious-Zionist rabbis, as well as the umbrella organization of Israel's physically handicapped. The latter organization, which represents some 20 different organizations, said they wished to thus recognize the work of MKs Zevulun Orlev and Sha'ul Yahalom on their behalf in the outgoing Knesset.

On the other hand, several religious-Zionist rabbis, mostly former supporters of the left-wing Meimad movement, which is running together with Labor, announced their support of Kadima.

Five MKs of the NRP/NU list visited a popular campaign locale today - the shuk, or outdoor market in the Machaneh Yehuda section of Jerusalem. The five later said they were encouraged by the reception they received. MK Effie Eitam said, "On Election Day, our volunteers will arrive en-masse to vote, while the supporters of other parties will stay home. Why should someone who is voting for Kadima take the time and trouble to go vote? What will get Kadima voters out of their homes? Among our supporters, you won't find any stay-at-homes."

The leader of the joint Knesset list, MK Benny Elon, said, "Whoever plans to vote for Marzel is essentially voting for Kadima, because it's clear that he won't have the tens of thousands needed to pass the minimum threshold. Even if he gets 40,000, that won't be enough, and those will be wasted nationalist camps that, in essence, strengthen Kadima."

5.  Construction & Occupancy Suspended in Modiin Illit Neighborhood

The Peace Now organization succeeded again on Wednesday in its bid to halt construction of a new neighborhood in the hareidi-religious city of Modiin Illit.

The State Prosecutor's office informed the High Court on Wednesday, during a hearing on the matter, that the State will not resume construction in the Matityahu neighborhood of Modi’in Illit (formerly known as Kiryat Sefer).

The announcement is in keeping with a Supreme Court interim ruling of two months ago. The order stated that construction on some 33 high-rise buildings must be halted, and that new residents - some of whom have already paid for their apartments - may not move in.

Peace Now claims that the construction program is illegal in that it is double the size of the plan that was approved. It claims that a small portion of the land, on which construction has not even begun, belongs to the nearby Arab village of Bil'in.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that the route of the security partition separates the Arabs from some of their land, including some of the land earmarked for the new neighborhood. Weekly protests by Israeli leftists and local Arabs have been held at the site to protest the fence.

Peace Now claims it is not demanding that the buildings be razed. "It's not our job to find a solution," a spokesperson said. "We simply saw a law that had been broken, and therefore filed a suit in court. It's the government's job to find a solution."

Asked if Peace Now would be satisfied with a ruling allowing the existing buildings to be occupied and ordering a halt to further construction, she said no, but refused to divulge further details.

The State Prosecution is considering launching a criminal investigation against the private contracting companies that built in the neighborhood.

6.  Israeli Researchers: Trials Are On for New MS Treatment

Researchers in Israel are working on a new treatment they hope will slow down the progressive deterioration suffered by patients with multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases.

The new treatment uses the body’s own cells as a vaccine against autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS), according to Professor Irun R. Cohen of the Weizmann Institute who invented the treatment and is leading the study.

Cohen is the director of the newly established National Institute of Biotechnology in the Negev (NIBN), associated with Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Be'er Sheva. He said Israel is an ideal place for such research “because we exist beyond the pressures for conformity that you have in the U.S.” He added that Israel is a much better atmosphere for interdisciplinary collaboration as well.

“At Weizmann I share students with physicists, chemists and mathematicians. It is easy to talk to people here; everyone is free and generous with their ideas. There is a feeling that we are a small country and we have to pull together – and we do,” he said.

Double-blind trials are being held at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem and Sheba Multiple Sclerosis Center at Sheba Hospital, a multi-disciplinary treatment facility which treats more than 60% of Israel’s MS patients. The center, founded in 1995, offers diagnostic and treatment services through preventive and rehabilitative care.

Multiple sclerosis is caused by white blood cells that attack the central nervous system and destroy the sclera which coat the nerves that run throughout the body. As the sclera is destroyed, the body deteriorates, often leading to severe disability and sometimes death.

Professor Anat Achiron, director of the center and a former student of Cohen’s, is leading the research team at Sheba, where 47 patients have participated in the trial thus far. Some received the real vaccine and others received a placebo.

In the real treatment, patients are vaccinated with cells taken from those in the early stages of the disease and processed in a way that causes them to become inactive.

The inactive cells are then injected into the patients’ bodies in a massive dose which triggers the body’s immune system to destroy them as well as any that might appear in the future.

Cohen has been working on the revolutionary new treatment since 1981, when he published an initial study with Avraham Bin-Nun that showed that T-cells could be adapted to help the body fight diseases they themselves cause.

T-cells, a type of lymphocyte, are blood cells which play a role in the body’s immune system. The “T” stands for thymus, the organ where T-cells complete their development.

Cohen is careful not to raise false hopes and warns that it is too soon to draw conclusions before the trials are completed and the data analyzed.

“Only when we discover who among the patients is getting the vaccine and who is getting the placebo will we be able to assess absolutely the precise influence of the vaccine,” he said, but was optimistic about the potential for success.

In a world where the perception is the reality, all countries need to have the capability to manage their own perceptual alignment – otherwise someone else will. We live in a global village, which is reliant on communication and perception. Every country needs the tools to be part of that game.

A direct quote from the website of Strategic Communication Laboratories, a London based company that offers "the most powerful weapon in the world", the ability to manage every aspect of a conflict from one operation centre.

Take a look around their website and witness sickening quote after quote explaining how their vision is to allow the total control of citizens by their government or their military, to keep it that way, and to facilitate conflicts with and the takeover of other countries and the execution of total control over their citizens.

The idea put across by SCL is that if you can control the perceptions people have of reality, then you can control reality itself.

As the world moves further away from the 20th century concept of the Cold War, it becomes increasingly clear that the very nature of warfare itself has changed. The old style conflicts were about overpowering the enemy and winning ground. The new wars are about ideas, belief systems and ideologies. The battle is no longer about winning territory; it is about winning minds.

George Orwell was right on the money when he envisaged the coming 21st century as a battle based on the PERCEPTION of reality. in 1984, his classic warning to the world, Orwell told us that we would have to face this threat:

The Party said that Oceania had never been in alliance with Eurasia. He, Winston Smith, knew that Oceania had been in alliance with Eurasia as short a time as four years ago. But where did that knowledge exist? Only in his own consciousness, which in any case must soon be annihilated. And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed -if all records told the same tale -- then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past,' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.' And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memory. 'Reality control', they called it: in Newspeak, 'doublethink'.

SCL's vision is no different from the constructed artificial reality designed to house the minds of the human race portrayed in the feature film The Matrix. If you present all the people with a fabricated collective illusion of reality, and enough meaningless distractions, they may stop questioning that reality when things don't seem to add up.

Formed in 1993, SCL's customers include NGOs, police departments, military forces, municipal authorities, and the UN. According to the website, funding for SCL has been provided by a number of "private high net worth individuals" all based in the UK.

The company has invested nearly $20 million into research at what they call the Behavioural Dynamics Institute (BDi), the world’s leading authority on persuasion, communication psychology and public diplomacy. Given that they are the "World's leaders" it is strange that they do not have a website.

SCL is about selling to the military and Governments, or those that wish to control the military and the Government, the tools that they need to fight and the win the information war for people's minds.

Within its OpCentres are all the tools needed to initiate an elite full spectrum police state takeover - reality control. The SCL website makes the following chilling statement:

The last 5 years have seen a flurry of Homeland Security scenarios enacted and re-enacted on the streets of our cities. What if there is a biological attack, or the detonation of multiple explosive devices?

However, a major flaw has emerged in many of the scenarios - the unmanageability of civilians. They do not behave as they are supposed to. When a virus hits a city, civilians do not line up for vaccination: they run for the hills. When terrorists are looking for a target, it is the predictability of civilian behaviour that makes the terrorists' job easier. What if there was a way to control civilian behaviour when it counts? Imagine the benefits of having civilians as cooperating partners.

Strategic Communication makes the people part of the solution, not part of the problem.

But how do the so-called OpCentres provide the ability to do this? Well according to SCL:

An Opcentre puts influence, control and power back into the hands of the government and military, giving them greater power to influence the enemy in time of conflict and enhanced access to their citizens during a crisis. For instance, an Opcentre can be designed to override all national radio and TV broadcasts, allowing the government and military to communicate with the public as the need arises.

The OpCentres allow for powerful PSYOP campaigns to be conducted, which can engender support within the national community for proposed military action or more bone chillingly, "develop national resilience and behavioural compliance for homeland security issues".

They also allow for the takeover and control of Financial markets, health ministries, and foreign affairs.

Modules within the Opcentres can range from "Word-of Mouth Units" to "Cultural Alignment Units" and previous projects SCL have undertaken for clients include to "Design and develop a permanent military strategic communication
facility capable of delivering strategic and operational psyop campaigns for a South Asian country." and to "Design, build and install a Homeland Security Centre for an Asian country. The Opcentre can override all national radio and TV broadcasts in time of crisis."

Internal security issues are covered too, with the ability within the OpCentre to quell public unrest, manage large crowds or riot situations, prevent insurgency and other such public affairs crises under the umbrella of a "counter-terrorism programme."

Almost every country suffers from some problematic faction within its citizens. These disaffected groups may be driven by religious fervour, self-importance or just greed. In all cases, their ability to operate and recruit new members depends on the perceptual environment and the levels of tolerance of the state and its citizens. SCL specialises in producing solutions for governments so that they can significantly increase their control and management of disaffected groups as part of a wider counter-terrorism programme.

According to SCL, although it offers solutions for all departments of government, it "makes sense" to give total control of of their installations to the Head of State because other ministers of government may be "over zealous" or may not share the same vision.

Perhaps there may be some ministers who are not hell bent on destroying the freedoms of everyone and perpetuating endless psy-war on people and nations all over the planet? hmmm? Perhaps?

This is the future of the globalist police state takeover, they have the infrastructure in place, they have the ability to initiate the takeover NOW. However, they recognise that perception is everything and we are engaged within an INFOWAR.

They could not takeover tomorrow because not enough people would believe the perception of reality that they are transmitting. Currently we are in the majority, they still have a long way to go before their PSYOPS campaigns and "word of mouth units" can do an effective enough job.

Of course the main task currently assigned to the "Cultural Alignment Unit" is to create the perception that we are the minority, and that anyone who is not with the Government is with the "disaffected groups" more widely referred to as "the terrorists"

We are holding them off by spreading the truth and defending our freedoms in our own peaceful revolution of information. It is our reality that is at stake, they want to control our reality with conflict and disharmony and therefore they must continue to create the perception that that is the way the world is.

As SCL puts it on their own website:

We live in a world of communication, where perception is very often the reality. Those individuals that control the perceptions are the ones that control virtually everything. Most modern conflicts are based on misaligned perceptions, ideologies, opinions about religion, etc. If a government does not have the tools to manage the perceptions which effect security, defence, finance, tourism, health and foreign relations, then it may well find itself at the mercy of those that do.

We respond with the words of Orwell in 1984:

Being a minority, even a minority of one, did not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the whole world, you were not mad. The obvious, the silly, and the true had to be defended. Truisms are true, hold on to that! The solid world exists, its laws do not change. Stones are hard, water is wet, objects unsupported fall towards the earth's centre. With the feeling that he was speaking directly to O'Brien, and also that he was setting forth an important axiom, Winston wrote:

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.
